The Smile Squad is a club whose members take charge of welcoming and guiding new students at Monsters University. They are recognized by their yellow t-shirt.

- Jay: He contacts incoming students and directs them to the registration hall.
- Kay: At the registration table.
- Trey: In charge of taking the photo for a student's I.D. card.
- Fay: She gives new students an orientation tour of the university's facilities.
- Ray: He is stationed at the dorms and assigns new students their room.
